During the production process of our factory, Dodecyl benzene sulphonate 96% (low dioxane type) purified by secondary distillation can meet the requirements of cosmetic grade. The SLES (sodium laureth sulfate) generated after neutralization is the core foaming agent of shower gel and shampoo, providing fine foam and low skin irritation (pH 5.5-7.0). We successfully control the free oil content to <1.5% to avoid residual alkylbenzene affecting the mildness of the product.

In the emerging field, the oil recovery industry, in the tertiary oil recovery, Dodecyl benzene sulphonate 96% is used as a surfactant flooding agent to reduce the interfacial tension of crude oil to 10⁻³ mN/m level, and improve the recovery rate by 8-15%. In the lithium battery industry, it is used as an electrode slurry dispersant to improve the uniformity of graphite. In the production process, it is compounded with nano-SiO₂ to prepare a self-cleaning coating with a contact angle of <10°, which has achieved high-efficiency decontamination.

The high concentration characteristics of Dodecyl benzene sulphonate 96% reduce transportation costs (saving 25% storage and transportation space compared to 70% products). Only 0.18 tons of caustic soda is needed to neutralize each ton of LAS, and the lower purity product reduces alkali consumption by 12%. The bulk purchase price is 5-8% lower than that of branched ABS, and it is a key raw material for controlling detergent costs.

Dodecyl benzene sulphonate 96% is weakly corrosive (pH 2-4) and needs to be stored in 304/316L stainless steel or PE tanks. Direct contact with the skin may cause burns, so wear an acid-proof mask and butyl rubber gloves when operating.

Emergency treatment: When Dodecyl benzene sulphonate 96% leaks, it can be neutralized with lime. It is strictly forbidden to rinse with water as it will produce an exothermic reaction. The storage temperature must be >25℃ to prevent solidification.
