SLES, also known as AES sodium salt or sodium dodecyl ether sulfate, is a transparent or yellowish paste of the chemical. It is mainly used as a blowing agent and detergent for shampoos and bath liquids, but also has good decontamination, emulsification and foaming capabilities. In addition, sodium dodecyl alcohol ether sulfate can also be used as an active agent.

As an anionic surfactant, SLES has excellent decontamination, emulsification, wetting, solubilization and foaming properties.
